Artist's Comments

We encountered this beautiful segmented rainbow as we drove back from our busted chase to Turkey, TX on June 13, 2009. The sky to the north of the highway was perfectly clear and filled with the setting sun. The remnants of our storm dominated the southern sky.

This was shot with an ultra-wide 10mm lens, so I used some perspective correction to help restore the shape of the rainbow.
