Luck, patience, and more luck: what's what it took to get this shot. The lighting underneath this dying supercell was absolutely spectacular, which only helped the situation. This was the last shot I was going to take before packing up, because it was beginning to rain harder. That was the luck part. The patience part was taking many dozen photos before this, hoping to get a lightning bolt.
Colors were NOT altered in this photo; only curves was used. I tried to do Auto Saturation Enhancement, but the image is so colorful it actually DEsaturated the image!
Damn impressive shot that. Tis almost as if some divine hand played a part in making the clouds n' everything be in their position. I like especially that big rift in the clouds where the light (presumably from the lightning) casts up through it. The colour range is awesome too. Nice work .
Thank you. I agree, it was almost magical how all the different elements of the storm and the lighting came together at once. The quality of that sunlight was truly amazing.

Yeah. That is quite an amazing shot. I would feel very lucky to have one like that in my gallery. It just goes to show that a lot of the best shots happene when the photographer least expect them too. ..and that it takes a lot of work to produce quality work. Outstanding.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
